I am considering buying Yamaha's Sopranino Snare, size 10x5. I have seen it on sale for $90. I would use it both as a second snare on my current setup and possibly as an alternative to my current snare. As I understand it is made of 3 different types of wood and comes in either a natural finish or a black finish.

I was wondering if anyone has used this snare drum and what thoughts you may have on it from a sound, quality and value point of view.
